If you have a
criminal record, you’re not allowed to leave the country for 5
years. If you are under 18 this stays unlit 5 years after you are
convicted. This means that if you are convicted at 16 you can’t
leave the country until you are21. A lot of young people think that
their juvenile record is completely erased once they are 18 but that
is not the case the things in your record can no longer be held
against you but they remain in your file.
